Recently I moved to a new house and while "purging" some unwanted items I went through my stash of old backup discs. I found a DVD-R with a backup of FFXI PC files from the 10/2003 update.

I only kept the disc from the trash bin because I wanted to show you guys this:



This was changed to the way it is now on the 02/26/2004 update:

yeah call me a prude but I don't miss the old pose. It was just tacky.
I think the female miqu'te sitting pose in 14 is nicely done as well. I wish that was offered as a secondary option for sitting, but hey ps2 limitations.

Agreed. Though my Mithras were nude thanks to dat mods! Harrumph I say to all the prudes out there!

There's two dats involved in it:
ROM/51/89.DAT (all basic motions for mithra, sit is just 3 out of several)
ROM/123/69.dat (emotes for while sitting).

I would not use that old dat though. That dat was last updated 07/08/2013 (added bell casting motion for geomancer) so if you simply downgrade the file, you will end with a broken game.

Downgrading the dat also brings back the "heal/rest with open eyes" behavior of "old mithras". lol
